I began to question everything shortly after 9/11. I started to realize that the corporate controlled media reports only what the corporations allow it to report. During the early days it was not so obvious to me but over time, I began to connect the dots. I wondered why the media reported that men from caves committed 9/11. How did they know about the culprit so quickly?
Out of morbid curiosity I began to watch Bill O'Reilly's show and noticed 3 things about him- 1) he would threaten to cut off the mic of the guests, 2) he would tell them to shut up, 3) he would dismiss their views.
That is not how you operate a talk show, you walking pile of excrement. The final straw is when Billy Badass insulted a young man who lost his father on 9/11. I do so enjoy that video of Bill when he hosted Inside Edition, going ballistic because he could not understand something. Comedy f'n gold. Beck was actually worse, trying to reach the audience by utilizing a black board. Also, I began to question why he was so fixated on Nazi's. His antics soon earned him disdain. It was clear he was batsh** crazy, thus the reason why Fox hired him.
I used to watch CNN, thinking it was an alternative to the rest. A few years ago I realized they are no better than Fox. Their reporting is the equivalent of Pop-Tart's for breakfast. Ever notice how these networks have attractive blond anchors? It is to distract you, and it works.
Most people get their news now from online sources. Technology has made things easier and yet more difficult. What source should you trust? Who is putting a spin on news? Nearly everyone, with a few exceptions.
When I visit a bookstore, on the news stands I see magazines which cater to celebrity worship. The actual news publications are few. The ratio of fluff to useful news is dismal. People would rather know about Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga instead of what our leaders are planning for the future. We are so obsessed, we are ready to tweet about a report on a celeb's bowel movement. Glossy tabloid rags that depend on easily distracted people to keep them in business.
As for tv, I have no use for Dancing with the Stars, Real Housewives or Kardashians.
The average kid watches 32 hours of tv each week and will witness 200,000 violent acts and 16,000 murders on tv by age 18. Scary. That box has more of an effect than parents. I used to scoff at this but now I know better. I have seen kids act out scenes they saw on tv. I also notice that most video games are extremely violent. Apparently we live in a country where its ok to disembowel someone but you cant show anyone having sex. No wonder kids are so f'd up.
I have no desire to hear about Paris Hilton's latest insertion or Lindsey Lohan's weekend bender. Its clear the media has no intention of informing you of topics that matter.
